Kang war can be the gateway drug to more serious issues such as secret wars. It can be done

I would drop Iron Heart and America Chavez and add Wanda's two kids. Yes I know they faded on 616 but if I can think of a good way to do it then surely the writers can come up with 4 or 5.

@JDL - I doubt they will add Chavez to the roster of a young Avengers team initially tbh, her main power wouldn't make much sense for most the stories I would expect them to start out with. Unsure they would Iron Heart either although she would have a stronger chance of being on it after her show.

I can however see them adding in Eli from FatWS and Wanda's kids after they are reintroduced in Agatha and/or Visions show for a three-three mix with Kamala, kate and Cassie.

On top of that they could, as Ms. Marvel is doing the recruiting, add in Red Dagger & kamran from her show and there is also Hulk's Son, Heimdall's Son, T'Challa's Son (depending how soon they get around to it), Love from Thor L&T, Kid Loki and Phylla to choose from off the top of my head (as well as having White Vision as part of the thing).

Sure some haven't all been explored/introduced sufficiently yet but the list of availables is longer then most realise and only need a few who have had a major role to then also add a few others who haven't had much development.

If a Young Avengers team will workout and turn into a good show (as think at first more likely to start out on D+) and if there is suffice demand is open to question but tend to think they won't do a reverse first Avengers and only have one male. Tend to think they will plan on at least Wiccan plus as standin for Hulkline with Skaar at minimum for a 3/2 mix starting point upto maybe a 4/3 mix plus White Vision then add to that as they go along.

@Apophis71 - You might be right on Skaar, especially if they go past a party of 6 or if Speed is benched at the beginning. Having checked out Wiccan & Speed a bit the latter is not unrealistic at all.

Hmmmm. That leaves a guy slot open and the more I think about it young T'Challa does a lot of positive things. It shuts up the RECAST NOW ! folks. Doesn't overpower anything and adds some Wakanda folks in as senior management. (If you think the Wakanda Guard doesn't show up in quantity for the kid you are nuts) That also may provide some tech and financial support. What do you think ?

@JDL - With young T'Challa realy depends how soon it will happen but if old enough then can completely see it.

As I say Chavezs powerset doesn't make much sense at first and could be tougher to explain how they know about her and contact her. I think they will first want to do her story with Wong or Strange finding out the truth of her origins before they would consider her on Young Avengers unless a narrative reason they need someone able to jump between alternate timelines.

The original team had Iron Lad so they COULD use Riri but as it was realy Kang prefer they stuck with that tbh, sets them up with a narrative reason to have a supporting team role in Secret War at which point Iron Lad could switch to ally in order to help them and the main Avengers take down an evolved Beyonder form of a Kang Variant.

Patriot was on the first team and as they introduced Eli and his Grandad seems sensible they go there with that, if they do the whole not realy got his powers from Isaiah and using a dodgy temp serum instead unsure however and don't realy mind either way.

An actual Hulkling wouldn't be impossible to do something close to that after Secret Invasion but feel more likely they will use Skaar.

Speed joined later and unclear when they will intro the teen version of him yet as was supposed to be coming in Visions show. Wiccan is in Agatha and if they are planning on Young Avengers using that to complete his intro in the absence of Wanda (for now) then that is a sound reason for that show to have gone ahead.

Then of course we already know from the End credit they are going with Stature and Kate Bishop in all likelihood.

So for now, until White Vision returns, they could use Clint and his Wife as the Fury & Maria Hill for the team and have the initial lineup being Patriot, Skaar, Wiccan, Kate Bishop, Cassie, with Ms. Marvel as a starting point who could face off against Iron Lad instead of him ever doing the fakeout stuff as way too easy to spoil that. They could then go get the assistance of Iron Heart to help to counter his armor if they fail on first encounters, I am just unsure if Riri would become an actual member but it is possible.

Once we've had Vision Quest where Speed was rumoured to return in then you can add those two to the mix, as I say Toussaint/T'Challa will likely join too if at a point where old enough to make sense.

They will also likely have any other younger characters appear at points if the narrative dictates such as Heimdall's Son who can remote communicate and/or teleport them when a narrative need but likely won't join full term, same with maybe an encounter with Kid Loki at some point which could be an antagonist or temp ally narratively speaking. I'm assuming at first, if pre-Secret War, it will be a show not a film then they can have a role in that.

Next Saga should be primarily Xmen/mutant centric, plus the Fantastic Four, but the Young Avengers could be promoted to a film at some point during that by which time they will all be adults anyway but I don't think they should rush towards that at all when ample full adults to form an older Avengers team with if keeping going with having big screen teamups with any of those so keeping them just for D+ for a decent length of time makes more sense to me until there is a REALY good reason to switch to films IMO as you would tend to want a slower build towards being able to take on film level main Avengers type villains.

So no date really?

I imagine most the slate is dependent on Deadpool 3 performing well. That coupled with the performance tracking indicators for the 2025 films.

Most likely we are going to see delays to projects:
2025 - Captain America 4 (May), Fantastic Four (July), Thunderbolts (Nov)
2026 - Blade (Feb), Spider-man 4 (July), Armour Wars (Nov)
2027 - Avengers 5 (May), Shang Chi 2 (July), Doctor Strange 3 (Nov)
2028 - X-Force (Feb), Avengers Secret Wars (May), Avengers Forever (Nov)

Sticking the landing only works if you do the prior aspects correct.

Avengers 5 & 6 won't have the resonating factors because the prior material won't be established enough for people to be invested/care. You can't have a 'Captain America with the Shield' moment because they haven't set-up anything and anything that they may acknowledge or reference is from media a majority of the general audience won't have watched.

Why not just recast Kang and continue the stories of Avengers 5 and 6 as planned? Provided that the stories were good of course.

Finish the Multiverse Saga and continue on with Doctor Strange 3, Young Avengers, Hawkeye S2, Blade and all the other stuff on the plate in addition to FINALLY introducing the X-Men when the Fox contracts are expired.

@ChrisRed - Recast should be an easy option considering it is established not all Variants need look the same even if an Endcredit suggested otherwise with Kang. The simplest option is having the big bad being a much older actor taking on an evolved form of the one from AM3, can also include a younger actor for a potential Iron Lad too then maybe a third around the same age as Majors.

Sure I get why some think Quantumania broke Kang but he is only human so stripped of tech is as easy to defeat as Tony would be without armor. Him having evolved due to being thrown into his device can easily make him a far greater threat suffice for Avengers 5 and 6.
