Alan Wake 2 - Night Springs Expansion Launch Trailer | PS5 Games

Originally intended to launch in spring, Night Springs will now arrive on June 8. It will be the first of two announced expansions. The second is The Lakehouse, which is also supposed to launch this year. While Night Springs focuses on the titular show within the Alan Wake universe, The Lakehouse will be centered around a research station of the same name on the shores of Cauldron Lake. Interestingly, this facility is stated to be owned by the Federal Bureau of Control. Perhaps Jesse’s inclusion in the first DLC will dovetail into the events of The Lakehouse as she is the current director of the FBC.

Night Springs is exclusively available to owners of the Deluxe Edition digitally or those who purchase the new physical Deluxe Edition available tomorrow.

GSC Game World's highly anticipated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will finally come out this year. The shooter is set to launch on September 5 on Xbox Series X/S and PC.

A much-demanded sequel to a PC cult classic, the development of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2has been arduous, mainly because of how Russia's invasion of Ukraine impacted the studio. Initially slated for April 2022, the game has been delayed several times. GSC Game World had settled on promising a Q1 2024 release window, but an announcement on Tuesday morning explained that it needed one final delay to get the game over the finish line.

Alan Wake 2 studio is rebooting its upcoming multiplayer project

Alan Wake 2's Night Springs DLC gets a surprise release tomorrow | Digital Trends (4)

Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind October's critically acclaimed survival horror game Alan Wake 2, revealed that it is reworking what was previously a free-to-play multiplayer game into a premium cooperative title.

While Remedy made a name for itself with trippy, narrative-focused single-player franchises like Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Control, a multiplayer project code-named Vanguard has been in the works at the Finnish studio since at least 2018. In 2021, Remedy announced that it partnered with Tencent to make and distribute the game, which was described as "a free-to-play, co-operative PvE shooter that combines Remedy’s narrative expertise and action gameplay into an immersive multiplayer experience." As recently as a financial report last month, Remedy said that Vanguard was still in the "proof-of-concept stage" and that it was working with Tencent on "defining the next stages of the project."
